An 18th century Hawaiian method of transportation, stand up paddle boarding (SUP) exploded in popularity in the United States around 2013, documented that year as having the most first time participants of any outdoor sport.
One of the most popular ways to explore the 500+ miles of shoreline in Anne Arundel County, I turned to Kate Grove of Sunrise SUP to learn the art of SUP about five years ago.
