Annapolis offers many ongoing festivals and concerts over the summer. Here are just a few that you won’t want to miss!
Sunday – 1st Sunday Arts Festival
First, plan to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon enjoying the festival atmosphere of the 1st Sunday Arts Festival every weekend through November 3rd. Part of West Street closes to car traffic for live music, arts, crafts and dancing. This family friendly event is the perfect backdrop for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Take in the music and performances, plus visit over 100 booths featuring arts and crafts by local artisans. Many of the restaurants along West Street offer outdoor seating for lunch al fresco while you’re there!
Wednesday – Dinner Under the Stars
Then, every Wednesday evening through mid-September, the restaurants of Inner West Street host Dinner Under the Stars. Mark your calendars now to enjoy a delicious meal outdoors with family or friends this summer. Two of my favorite places are Luna Blu and El Toro Bravo! After dinner, take a walk to experience the live music, dancing, art activities and more.
Thursday – Tides & Tunes Summer Concerts
Also, Thursdays are for the Tides & Tunes Summer Concert Series at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. The schedule features all types of music from rock to folk to jazz every Thursday night from July 4 through August 15. Bring a chair or blanket and relax while watching the sights of the Chesapeake Bay, listening to the sounds of great music, and tasting the food and drink that will be available to buy. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Thursday evening!
Friday – Annapolis Towne Centre Summer Concerts
Finally, kick off your weekend with a Friday night concert! This year marks the 10 year anniversary celebration of the Friday Night Summer Concerts at the Annapolis Towne Centre! On Fridays through August 23, skip the traffic and hang out at the ATC enjoying live music, wine & beer garden, food trucks and giveaways all evening.
